Before You Solve
You need to know some terms
This table shows what each term means and how to apply it to your cube. All rotations are described when you are looking directly at that side of the cube.
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| R | Rotate the right face clockwise |
| R' | Rotate the right face counterclockwise |
| L | Rotate the left face clockwise |
| L' | Rotate the left face counterclockwise |
| U | Rotate the upper face (top) clockwise |
| U' | Rotate the upper face (top) counterclockwise |
| D | Rotate the down face (bottom) clockwise |
| D' | Rotate the down face (bottom) counterclockwise |
| F | Rotate the front face clockwise |
| F' | Rotate the front face counterclockwise |
| B | Rotate the back face clockwise* |
| B' | Rotate the back face counterclockwise* |
| _2 | Rotate that side twice, so F2 means rotate the front face twice |
*Make sure you are turning the back face the direction when you are looking with that side of the cube facing you. This means that when looking at the front face the back face will be turning the oppisite of what is written.
